Welcome to Lasting Impressions, the one place for all things Deliverance and Janz team music featuring Danny Paul and Ken Janz. If this is your first time here, please start reading from the first post (at the bottom of the first archived page). It will make more sense that way.

Watch it take shape...

I hope that everybody who has commented on this blog also took the time to hit the FOLLOW button, because your patience is about to be rewarded. Head on over to deliverance1976.wordpress.com and watch a new Deliverance website take shape. It doesn't look like much right now, but I am in the process of transferring some of the old posts and all of the content to the new site. When I'm finished with the blog posts on the old site I'm deleting the old site forever, so add this new address to your bookmarks!

New Hosting issues:

Several events have occured that seem to conspire against this website: First, the additional pages were served from my ISP's Members pages. My ISP just discontinued Member's pages, so the additional pages have vanished. Second, Dropbox no longer serves render-able html pages from their service, and are stopping Public folders altogether, so every file has to be shared with specific email addresses leaving all of this website's content in an offline state. Sorry about that. I will try to move this website to Wordpress where I have more flexibility for pages and storage. Until then, text me at 2047709902 with your email address if there's anything you want.

Janz Team's Twilight Years

As the Janz Team fades from view, I had an opportunity to visit the last torchbearers for the Janz Team - Bob & DeEtta Janz. They told me that Black Forest Academy runs the show now, with their Teach Beyond ministry. The Janz Team as such no longer exists. The offices are empty, the tapes are destroyed, the people have moved on. Bob & DeEtta's ministry includes leading local bible studies, creating their own CD's and reissuing Janz team music, copied from sources other than original tapes, and given away as donation-ware. They told me stories of people emptying out their closets, and wondering what to do with their old Janz team music (give it to me), and honestly believing that no one out there would be interested in this old stuff (give it to me!), meanwhile, here at LastingImpression, I get many requests for the old gospel music that played such a big part of baby boomers' lives (GIVE IT TO ME!!!). Anyways, here's a Dropbox link to the four CD's they shared with me: After Janz Team. These albums are not available anywhere else.

Some songs available again

The Deliverance songs you love and crave should be online again. Click the four album panel on the right --> and then on the song titles to download each song. Sorry, no streaming from the Dropbox host... but you want these to keep right?

Contact me

So often people request stuff from me but don't leave a valid email address. If you have a request, please include a valid return address in your comment. I know it's risky, but I can't reply to all messages as comments to a post. Someone even included an email address that wasn't valid. If that was you, this is why I'm not replying!

"Rarities and b-sides"

More and more groups are coming out with "Rarities and B-sides" albums, and I think that there is enough material for Deliverance to do the same. Of course that is hard to do if they are no longer a legal entity... but the fact remains that there is some cool stuff out there. Although there are only two b-sides, and nothing is really all that rare, I have created a new page to sample some stuff by Deliverance, JTS, and friends, you might not have heard before. Scroll to the bottom of this page to find the new Rarities & B-sides link and enjoy. (Text and mp3's provided by Ben from Switzerland. Thanks Ben.) This is a work in progress. So far only half of the songs that I have are on the new page.
