"New" Deliverance Song
This is the first time I've seen music by the group called "Janz", created after the demise of Deliverance. Perhaps it's their only song. It's very un-deliverance like, but not unlike the Danny Paul (& Wayne) stuff.
A collection of works by the members of Deliverance (the band from Germany in the 70's, not the heavy metal nor bluegrass bands with the same name) with references to the band's past and future...

Daryl,
Great stuff, this site. I actually had digitally 'remastered' many of the Deliverance songs about 10 years ago, and have just put them on YouTube for everyone's convenience (and highschool nostalgia). Not to mention, but much of it is very good music. Sort on 'Deliverance bfa'. Greetings, Dave
By 'remastered' do you mean from the original recordings? Do you have access to the North American mix?
Daryl,
'Remastered' means having digitally recorded in hq stereo on PC using CoolEdit, and digitally removing all record scratches, deleting noise and optimising amplitudes etc. Record speed of 33rpm was actually the more difficult to control. Hope you don't mind I used your 4-record picture for some songs. Could you maybe ask around for a picture of the LP cover of the songs Mirror, Love is the Answer, and Road to Forever? We have moved a few times, and I cannot find the original records. It you want to improve the 'sort' on Deliverance + bfa in YouTube, please add "Janz". I have not seen any other mixes.
Thanks, keep it up.
I too have had problems with record speed. I would like a recording I could play along with (bass guitar) but it seems like the music speed was changed in production.
As for Mirror, Love is the Answer, and Road to Forever... these songs sere total surprises to many of us. Were they b-sides on singles? I am not aware of any additional Deliverance albums.
Hi Daryl,
the Song "Mirror" is on b-side of the 1981 JANZ - Single "Steine" (Eurovision-Song).Mirror was written by Paul & Ken Janz.
And i'm sure, that "Love is the Answer" and "Mother" and "Last Road to forever" was prepared for the fifth-(remixed "Tightrope")-Deliverance-Album 1980,which was never released.
Regards,Ben.
...and this remixed Album "Tightrope" with some new Songs including "Last Road to Forever" was finished one day before the Masterband should be given to CBS in New York. But on that sad Day,Deliverance was at the End - because of another group called Deliverance, which was an Bluegrass-Groupe.It was not the christian-metal band Deliverance which brought Deliverance to fall,it was the Bluegrass Group which was "born" in 1972.
Sorry for my bad english.
Regards,Ben.
Thanks for the clarification. I have never heard of the Bluegrass group called Deliverance. After all that, they still remained in obscurity. Pity. No doubt their money hungry lawyers cleaned them out. And I wasn't aware that the Heavy Metal band called Deliverance was 'Christian'. I sort of doubt that, but anything is possible I guess.
